Hi there! I’m Tara Ann, a 40-something mom living my best (and sometimes messy) life in beautiful North Idaho. I’m the proud mom of two amazing teenage daughters who light up my world—and the sidelines—as members of their school’s cheer team. My oldest takes things up a notch by juggling two teams, while I cheer them on from the bleachers with a mix of pride and a little nostalgic envy for all their energy!
I’ve called North Idaho home my entire life, and while I haven’t traveled much, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. Whether it’s hiking the local trails or casting a line (when I remember to dust off my tackle box), this place has a way of grounding me. I’m also lucky to share my life with my boyfriend, who I lovingly call Pirate. Together, we navigate the ups and downs of life with humor and love.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve worked in healthcare—starting back in high school and sticking with it ever since. It’s a job that’s taught me a lot about resilience, kindness, and the power of showing up for others.
When I’m not working or tackling mom life, you can find me typing away on this blog. I started it as a way to hold myself accountable on my journey to better health and to share unfiltered thoughts about life’s challenges and joys. My family lovingly calls me Burrhead (a childhood nickname that’s stuck), and that’s exactly the spirit I want to bring here: a little rough around the edges but full of heart.
So, whether you’re here to laugh, commiserate, or find a bit of inspiration, welcome to my little corner of the internet. Let’s navigate this beautifully imperfect thing called life together.
Cheers,
Tara Ann
